Personal Preparedness Class
AIM is again partnering with the Virginia Department of Health to offer a free class on Tuesday, September 16 from 6pm - 8pm.
September is National Preparedness Month and this 2-hour class will help you prepare a plan and collect the critical supplies you may need to keep your family safe in a disaster. You'll also learn how to prepare yourself both physically and mentally to overcome an emergency.
While this class is free, there are only 15 seats available. If you would like more information or want to reserve a seat, please email Amy.Feinberg@vdh.virginia.gov.

This 2-hour class will teach you the basics of how to defend yourself from an attacker. Topics covered include:
Situational Awareness
Escaping Various Grabs, Chokes, and Hair Pulling
Proper execution of various strikes
This class is taught by first degree black belt and personal trainer, Chris Viggiano and his wife, Michelle. They have been teaching this course throughout Northern Virginia for the last 10 years and have helped educate many women on how to avoid becoming a victim. This class is for everyone. This includes our self-defense graduates! If you have passed our 4-week Women’s Self Defense course, you are welcome to come and review your skills for free.
Due to the close nature of this class, interested participants may want to consider bringing a friend or family member. To practice the moves, students will need to grab, hug, and be in very close proximity to others. If you are uncomfortable partnering with a stranger, please consider asking someone to join you.
Cost is $20 per person. Sign up to reserve your spot below. Cancellation Policy: You may cancel up to 2 days before the event for a full refund. After this, you will forfeit the cost of the class.
