Take a Hike and View a Memorial to our 26th President
 

Theodore Roosevelt Island is an 88.5-acre wooded national memorial island in the Potomac River in Washington, D.C., dedicated to America's 26th president and conservationist, Theodore Roosevelt. Today miles of trails through wooded uplands and swampy bottomlands honor the legacy of a great outdoorsman and conservationist.

Hike Details. This hike is rated easy. It is approximately 1.7 miles and only 55 feet of elevation. The trail is part pea gravel and part boardwalk. You’ll have the opportunity to visit the memorial plaza after the hike.

Fees. There is no fee to enter this park.

Registration. Interested attendees must complete the hiking registration form below. After you have provided your contact information and emergency contact, you will receive an email with more detailed meet up information about this hike.

As a reminder, this hike is part of our partnership with Inova Parkinson's and Movement Disorders Center, but all are welcome to join us. Because of their generous support, there is no fee to join any of our hikes.
