Personal Trainer

AIM Human Performance

AIM Human Performance is a private, high-level personal training studio dedicated to delivering scientifically grounded coaching in a supportive, individualized environment. We specialize in working with clients managing orthopedic conditions and chronic disease, helping them reduce pain, move better, and build long-term health.

We are seeking a motivated, early-career coach who wants more than just a job on the training floor—someone who is looking to develop mastery, gain real clinical experience, and grow into a leadership role over time.

Start (or Begin a New) Career the Right Way

This role is designed specifically for recent graduates in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related fields who are ready to apply their knowledge in a real-world setting. This role is also for recent retirees who are looking to start a new career.

You’ll begin in a part-time position, with a clear and supported pathway to full-time employment as you build your coaching skills, confidence, and client base. From day one, you’ll work closely with experienced coaches, receiving hands-on mentorship, structured onboarding, and consistent feedback.

At AIM, we don’t expect you to have everything figured out—we expect you to be coachable, curious, and committed to improving.

What Makes AIM Different

Most entry-level training jobs focus on volume. We focus on quality, precision, and long-term client outcomes.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with:

  • Clients managing orthopedic injuries and chronic pain

  • Individuals navigating neurological conditions, including Parkinson’s disease

  • General population clients looking to build strength, confidence, and resilience

AIM is proud to be the only gym recognized by Inova’s Parkinson's and Movement Disorders Program to provide Boxing and Strength Training classes for individuals with Parkinson’s. These hospital-supported classes are rapidly growing and offer a unique opportunity to develop specialized coaching skills early in your career.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a coach at AIM, you will:

  • Lead and assist with 1:1 personal training sessions

  • Support and progress into leading small group classes, including:

    • Parkinson’s Boxing & Strength Training

    • Women’s “EmpowHER” strength, boxing, and self-defense classes

  • Learn how to assess movement, modify programs, and coach clients safely and effectively

  • Contribute to daily operations and client experience within the gym

You’ll also gain exposure to our AIM Longevity Lab, which includes recovery modalities such as infrared sauna, cold immersion, and compression therapy—expanding your understanding of performance, recovery, and long-term health.

Beyond Coaching: Be Part of the Community

AIM is deeply connected to the local community. As part of our team, you’ll have opportunities to participate in:

  • Health and wellness–focused book clubs

  • Partnerships with local organizations and small businesses

  • Educational workshops and outreach initiatives

  • Women’s empowerment and self-defense programming

We believe great coaches don’t just work in a gym—they contribute to a larger mission of improving lives.

Who We’re Looking For

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Is a recent graduate (or soon-to-be graduate) in a related field

  • A recent retiree who’s looking to start a new career in a field they love

  • Is certified—or planning to become certified—as a personal trainer

  • Is highly coachable, reliable, and eager to learn

  • Has a strong interest in movement quality, longevity, and working with clinical populations

  • Thrives in a team-oriented, growth-focused environment

Bonus, but not required:

  • Experience with boxing or group training

  • Interest in neurological or special populations

Growth Path & Long-Term Opportunity

We are not looking for someone to fill a short-term role—we are looking for someone to grow with us.

As you develop within AIM, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Transition from part-time to full-time coaching

  • Take on increased responsibility in program development and client management

  • Play a key role in expanding specialty programs

  • Grow into a leadership and management position within the company
