August Easy Group Hike

A Shaded Hike for Everyone
 

Prince William Forest Park is located adjacent to the Marine Corps Base Quantico near Dumfries. The park is the largest protected natural area in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region at over 13,000 acres.

Hike Details. This hike is rated easy. It is approximately 1.4 miles and 141 feet of elevation. A portion of the hike includes the Piedmont Forest Trail which is made up of recycled tires and plastic providing a soft, even surface. Dogs are permitted on this trail on a leash.

Fees. Please note that there is a $10/car entrance fee for this national park. You can use an America The Beautiful pass. See all the fee details here.

As a reminder, this hike is part of our partnership with Pass to Pass and Inova Parkinson's and Movement Disorders Center, but all are welcome to join us. Because of their generous support, there is no fee to join any of our hikes. Please note that there is a fee to enter this park since this is a state park.
