Our Hiking Program is Back!
 

After a cold winter that kept many of us inside, join the AIM team for 2 group hikes this month to celebrate and return to nature.

Easy Hike: Approximately 2 miles with little to no elevation. Surface is either paved or boardwalk, so this hike is wheelchair/walker friendly.

Sunday, March 29 at 10am at Huntely Meadows Park.

Huntely Meadows Park is located near Kingstowne and Franconia. It’s one of the metro area’s largest close-in parks. It lies in a wet lowland that was carved out by the Potomac River which has resulted in a freshwater wetland. It’s an excellent location for birding. We’ll walk along the boardwalk trail and past the observation tower. Participants are welcome to stay after the hike to visit the Visitor Center.
