2026 Annual Letter

Monday, June 29, 2026

To our valued current clients, former clients, business associates, and community members:

Happy summer! June 1, 2026 marks nine years of occupancy in our current space and the official opening of AIM Human Performance. It also signifies approximately 19 years that we have been offering exercise services in Northern Virginia. This September will be the 4-year anniversary of our recovery center, the AIM Longevity Lab. The past year has brought new undertakings that we would like to share with you.

  • AIM Hiking Program. This new offering debuted in November 2025 and since then we have logged 9 hikes in 5 counties with over 50 participants. This program is part of our partnership with Pass to Pass, a hiking program for those with Parkinson’s. AIM is now the official host of the Virginia Chapter of Pass to Pass. Thanks to Inova’s Parkinson’s & Movement Disorders center, all of our hikes are free to attendees.

  • Our partnership with Inova’s Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders Center, which sponsors our Boxing and Strength Training classes for those with Parkinson’s, continues to grow. We recently expanded and are now offering 5 classes/week. Chris’ class was also recently featured in a video by the American Academy of Neurology.

  • One Year of EmpowHER. This women’s only class is a combination of strength training, boxing fundamentals, self-defense training, and a weekly purposeful practice for social impact. The participants have made incredible progress in their strength, boxing, & self-defense skills, and have positively impacted our local community every week. These women are strong and compassionate!

  • Eat Well, Live Well Book Club. This joint project with our nutrition coach, Sabina Kelly, is having a strong third year. Our group continues to grow and includes participants from all over the country. We’ve read and discussed 15 books. Many of our book club members have seen improvements in their health by implementing the healthy habits we’ve read about.

  • Community Service Programs. In the past year, we expanded our offerings in the community.

    • Thanks to our clients’ generosity, we were able to provide brand new clothing to kids in our community for back-to-school through Boxes of Basics. Their donations also helped us put food on the table during the ACTS Food Drive.

    • We continued our partnership with the Virginia Department of Health. AIM hosted and co-taught two courses entitled Until Help Arrives and Personal Preparedness.

    • Women’s Self Defense. We continue to offer classes and teach these important skills to the women and girls in our community. We helped several girl scout troops earn their self-defense badge!

  • Education. Continuing education has always been, and continues to be, a priority so that we can offer the highest level of service. The AIM team has successfully completed the Functional Gait Assessment training and is now a designated Gait Happens practitioner location. Additionally, AIM is continuing to lead weekly study group sessions for all health professionals. This free, one-hour session is our way of helping to improve the quality of personal training and exercise instruction in our community.

With another year behind us, we are busy planning for a successful year ahead. Be on the lookout for new services, equipment, and faces!

As a reminder, all appointments are subject to a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you do not notify your trainer/instructor 24-hours before your session, you will be charged the full cost of that session. Additionally, there is a $25 late fee for invoices that are not paid 2 weeks from the sent date. To avoid this late fee, we recommend keeping your credit card on file.

Thank you for allowing us to serve you over the past 9 years. We are especially grateful to those of you who have recommended us to others. It’s your referrals that help us succeed and grow! We look forward to continuing to help you improve your health through exercise and recovery for years to come.

Sincerely,

The AIM Staff
